it is simultaneously revealing and revolting, and i'd like to share it.. what the society expects of its members.
the society expects its members to live and *die* for their teachings [yes, everyone here knows it - the society expects you do die for their teachings if necessary].. and, at the same time as you lie there dying for their beliefs, expects you to accept (?joyfully?

Since when did being rational matter to the watchtower.
Forget about rationality, logic, common sense. The watchtower's focus is on obediance, humility and submission. It's just satanic to think outside of the watchtower.What kills me is that if you ask any dub whether they are open minded and they will answer 'yes' convincingly. And at the same time they are the "masters of ignorance." Whenever they come across an issue which is irrelevant to the watchtower's agenda or one that doesn't have a simple answer which the watchtower has already addressed, they dismiss it as not important and just turn a blind eye to the whole matter.

Aussie beers are very over-rated by the way..especially that tasmanian shite... think it's called cascade.
Personally... I think wine is the go... aussie wines are simply splendid. Anyone not living in oz should come for a holiday here just to taste our wines... (the beach's and women are pretty good too..teehee)

I think kent is refering to the BOE letters that are hosted on the observer. I don't think there is an actual BOE that explicitly refers to the Observer site... that would be a blast! :D

"Judge" Joseph Rutherford
by VM44 inhas anyone noticed that in recent years, when the watchtower.
writes about rutherford, they refer to him as "joseph rutherford",.
never as "judge rutherford"?.

Ever since coming to the board I have continually read posts that refer to "the judge" having a drinking problem. I would like to know how these rumours came about... Is there any truth in them and if so where is the proof and how did it come to be known. This kind of info would never be published or alluded to in Watchtower publications, right?
Anyone out there with info?? please let us know...
